MAVA will be present at the IUCN Africa Protected Areas Congress

The MAVA Foundation is organising and supporting an exhibition pavilion at the upcoming IUCN Africa Protected Areas Congress (APAC) in Kigali from 18-23 July 2022.

The pavilion will be a dynamic and vivid space where MAVA, together with its key partners (PRCM, Wetlands International, BirdLife International, IUCN, RAMPAO and many others), will share their conservation journey since the beginnings of the foundation in 1994. It will be an opportunity for the partners to showcase a large array of MAVA-funded activities and initiatives such as marine species conservation, coastal and marine habitat protection, resource exploitation and protected areas governance, etc. In addition, it will facilitate mutual learning and allow West African players to get inspired by and potentially develop collaborations and partnerships with leaders from across the continent.

This will be also be a moment for MAVA to share with fellow donors, decision-makers and conservation leaders insights on how the foundation is managing its transition to ensure continuity of its impact beyond its closure end of 2022.
