Launch of second Circular Economy Incubator in Switzerland

27 startups from all over Switzerland have been selected to take part in the 2020 edition of the Circular Economy Incubator organised by Impact Hub Switzerland and supported by MAVA. After last year’s great success, it was decided to renew this three month support programme during which the selected entrepreneurs and teams are guided through the process of bringing their early stage circular ideas to life. Throughout the programme entrepreneurs benefit from peer-to-peer learning and circular economy & business expert support.

More information about the selected startups can be found here.

MAVA already supported the first Circular Economy Incubator in 2019 where 26 entrepreneurs benefited from a similar programme. See last year’s teams here. 19 out of the 26 startups continue to be active on the Swiss market and have evolved by reaching more customers, raising funds (eg. Bloom, La Corde à Linge, La Manivelle, Terrabiom, Direct Coffee) or scaling their model to other regions (eg. La Manivelle opening in Lausanne and a similar model in Basel). As for the remaining 7 entrepreneurs, the incubation revealed itself an important personal and professional learning experience allowing them to deepen their knowledge about business and circular economy and test their assumptions and establish meaningful connections for their future projects in this field.
