Conservation Coach Training 2022

The Conservation Coaches Network (CCNet Europe), Tour du Valat and MAVA are organizing a Conservation Coach Training from 1 May to 6 May 2022 at Tour du Valat, France. The training is designed for people who are familiar with the CMP Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation and who are interested in becoming Conservation Coaches guiding teams through the adaptive management process.

The training is aimed to strengthen your skills and experience as a facilitator and coach leading and supporting teams with diverse needs through planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and learning processes in conservation and sustainable development projects. The training will prepare you to teach practitioners and teams the basic principles of the Conservation Standards, help teams identify strategies, develop measures, explicitly articulate and capture a team’s uncertainties, and encourage ongoing assessment, learning and continuity of effort.

This is a great opportunity if you are interested in stepping into a new role by becoming a Conservation Coach or improving your coaching skills. You can find more details about the training on the training’s website and in the agenda.

The participation fee is generously covered by MAVA (this includes accommodation in a single room in the nearby city of Arles, all meals, the rental of the facilities, shuttle transport, workshop materials, field trip costs, and training). Participants will be responsible for covering their own travel costs to and from Marseille, as well as all other required expenses. A limited amount of travel grants are available depending on the specific case.

Please complete and submit your registration using our registration form as soon as possible but at the latest by 28 February 2022. The spaces are limited places so sign up soon!
