Towards a better protection of migratory birds in LebanonApril 06, 2018
The number of migratory birds flying over Lebanon at each migratory season is impressive.
Underlining the importance of protecting these flock of birds, Michel Aoun, President of Lebanon, recently called on the competent Lebanese authorities to take all necessary measures in order to prevent bird hunting and penalise any offenders. This call is encouraging and shows a real engagement of the country towards a better protection of migratory birds.
MAVA has been supporting projects in Lebanon for several years with its partner SPNL and congratulates the organisation for its intensive lobbying work for the protection of migratory birds.
