Rethinking our approach to using materials in citiesJanuary 24, 2019
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation just issued a new paper at the World Economic Forum in Davos which provides a preview of a new framework to rethink our approach to using materials in cities.
As major engines of economic growth, cities have the tools, knowledge, and ability to drive the circular economy agenda forward and unlock economic, environmental, and social benefits. This paper previews the online suite of resources that the Ellen MacArthur Foundation will release in March 2019 on the topic of Circular Economy in Cities. Providing a global reference point for urban policymakers, it will include a vision for the circular economy in housing, mobility, and products, as well as benefit factsheets, urban policy instruments, city-led case studies, and additional networks and resources
This project has been developed together with Knowledge Partner, Arup, and supported by MAVA. It comes within the frame of the work MAVA is supporting in relation to the acceleration of circular economy practices.
