New documentary: ‘Wetlands – the legacy of Luc Hoffmann’

Luc Hoffmann, MAVA’s founder, was above all a passionate ornithologist and scientist. Inspired by his passion for birds and wetlands, Luc dedicated much of his time and energy to the conservation of five iconic sites. These unique places are our heritage, and their protection continues to inspire our conservation work today.

With the support of MAVA, the film producer Stephan Rytz from ORCA Production has just launched a new documentary ‘Wetlands – the legacy of Luc Hoffmann’ which traces the immense conservation work of our founder in these five iconic sites: the Tour du Valat (France), Coto Doñana (Spain), Prespa Lakes (Greece, Albania, North Macedonia), the Banc d’Arguin (Mauritania) and the Bijagos archipelago (Guinea-Bissau).

The film is now being presented in various festivals in Europe and will be available to the public in 2020.
