New atlas on global green economy performance in French speaking countries

A new atlas (in French) ‘Atlas francophone de l’économie de l’environnement [Sous la direction de Tamanini, J. et E.L. Ngo-Samnick]. IFDD, Québec, Canada, 224 p., recently published by the Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable (IFDD) is one of the most comprehensive studies to date on the performance of the Francophonie (French-speaking countries) member states and governments in the global green economy sector.

Climate change, sustainable development, growth of green markets and the environment are among the most urgent global priorities today. The Atlas provides Francophone actors with a new tool to understand their strengths and weaknesses in these areas, and to make further progress in improving their country’s economic, environmental and social well-being, based on data collected through the Global Green Economy IndexTM (GGEI).

Funded by MAVA, this report comes within the frame of our focus on promoting a global sustainable economy.
