Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre receives conservation award

The Spanish organisation Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre has been named one of the recipients of the BBVA Foundation’s Biodiversity Conservation Awards (XIII edition) for its project ‘Oeste Ibérico: la conservación del Gran Ecosistema’. The prize is given out by the BBVA Foundation, which expresses the corporate social responsibility of the BBVA Group (financial industry), and recognises and encourages the work of conservation organisations, institutions and bodies that develop environmental conservation policies or functions, as well as communication professionals who contribute their work to protecting the natural heritage.

Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre was created in 1994 by a small group of passionate naturalists with a focus on conserving natural heritage, traditional human activities and protected areas, restoring ecosystems and recovering endangered wild flora and fauna species. MAVA has been working for many years with Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre for the conservation of biodiversity in western Iberia and warmly congratulates the organisation for receiving this award.
